Andy MacDonald, son of a Cape Breton coal miner in the dirty thirties, now eighty-four years young, is a writer of very funny books, a maker of dummies (Andys' Dummies), and remembers every soul who owes him money. Internationally renowned, he has always been a 'character'; and his personality has made him the subject of many newspaper and magazine articles, as well as a favorite guest on radio and television shows.

Andy who lives with his wife, Rhoda, in Coburg, near Port Elgin, New Brunswick, is surrounded by a yardful of dummies which takes quite a bit of energy just to clothe and feed. Andy has just recently finished his fifth collection of yarns.
